The monitoring committee is settled by a formal act in 3 months after the notification of the
approval decision concerning the Program (as provided by art. 63 of the Reg. (EC) 1083/2006). It
verifies the effectiveness and the quality of the OP implementation.
It is chaired by the Regional Minister of International Relations or, as his representative,
by the Central Director of International and EU relations and Local Authorities. It is composed of
the regional and national representatives.

The Monitoring Committee examines and approves the selection criteria of operations and
projects to be funded, and every further revision of these criteria according to planning needs in
six months after the approval of the Operative Program (as provided by art. 65 of EC Regulation n.
1083/2006).
